Chicago¡¯s iconic silver ¡°El¡± Trains have been a fixture of the city since 1892, when the first rail line carried passengers between 39th Street and Congress Street. The Chicago Transit Authority took over operation of the Elevated Rail lines in 1947, and have kept the trains running smoothly ever since. Designed in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.
