Modeled by Edward Kemeys, an essentially self-taught artist and the nation¡¯s first great animalier (sculptor of animals), the lion pair was unveiled May 10, 1894. Wreathing the lions for the holidays started in 1992, and has been a popular way to start off the winter holiday season. Now you can wreath your own lion plush as well. Lion sold separately.
